Babylonstoren

Today we spend our afternoon on the beautiful grounds of Babylonstoren in Franschoek. There are two restaurants, spa, hotel, gardens, it is absolutely beautiful. The gift shop also has a selection of wines, cheese, meats, books and beautiful candles and soaps.

All visitors pay 10Rand (40p) as entrance ticket and money goes to education trust for local children.

Here are some snaps. X

Cape Town

This is probably one of my favourite cities in the world. The weather is beautiful, beaches, mountains, wine...

Today we had afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel which was delicious and gardens and grounds are beautiful. This is a real treat and a must if you are in the area.

Maldives

I didn't blog about my wedding in the Maldives in October but here are a few photos. This was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. We stayed in Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives, an all inclusive resort and we enjoyed spa treatments, delicious food and drinks. It wasn't cheap but it was so worth it.

Inamo in Covent Garden

Last week my hubby and I had our date night in Inamo restaurant in Covent Garden. The restaurant is situated 30secs from the underground station so really easy to find. The food was amazing and eating there is definitely an experience. Food and drinks are ordered on a tablet rather then waiter and everything is very techi.

Here are some photos, definitely visit if you get a chance. X

Cool places to eat in London

The Wall SE1
I used to skateboard years ago so this is a place I am planning to visit soon. A real mix of skateboarding and simple good food, looks really cool.

Inamo
Restaurant with interactive table and delicious Japanese food in Central London. Love this idea of futuristic dining :)

Circus
Well this is self explanatory but very interesting. Check out the website for some cool photos.

Bunga Bunga
Well for starters I love the name! This restaurant looks crazy, colourful and friendly Italia, it's definitely on my list.

Jar Kitchen
I love their farm-to-fork policy.

Top Dog
I love the nice veggie option here!

Smallest cottages...

Every time my partner and I go away in the UK we look at Unique Home Stays website. Here you can find the most beautiful properties in the country.
Here is the cutest little cottage called the Libertine.

I love how old and cute this one is, it's called Lofty.

This one is not on the same website but it is also a beautiful little cottage that is practical, beautifully designed and in a perfect location.

LA

So we spent couple of days in LA in May and did all the typical touristy things. Not very adventurous I know but we wanted to stay with family and visit other places in California so our visit was very short.

We stayed at Days Inn Hollywood Near Universal Studios. This hotel is walking distance from Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame with number of fast food places to eat. We parked in hotel parking so that was very easy. This hotel is in a very good location but there are many homeless people around and we were warned to stay on the main road when walking around at night.

On our second day with a really bad jet lag we decided to do Movie stars homes tour  which lasts around 2h but it's a great of going into the Hollywood Hills and seeing beautiful houses (a bit stalkerish I know but it was really fun). We also drove past many movie locations and Pump (I absolutely love Lisa Vanderpump!).

I used to watch LA Ink so it was really cool to drive past the tattoo shop.

We then spent the afternoon at the Universal Studios and that was just really fun. I've never been before so I really enjoyed it :) We bought tickets online before we left for the USA and got a $20 discount. There were no traffic jams or busy parking lots so we got here very quickly and had a really nice relaxing afternoon. The rides are amazing and tour of the Studios very really fun.

Saturday in London

I was in London yesterday for my friend's bday and I finally saw Miss Saigon musical which was amazing.Great effects, music and sad love story. Afterwards we were walking through Soho (so many amazing places to eat) and ended up in Wahaca. Love the food, beer and sweet churos they serve and of course the best thing is that skulls are everywhere :)

Travel

If I could travel for living I would, I actually think I should be paid for all the traveling I do! I love it! Probably my favourite thing in the world. I definitely have a travel bug and have been told that I am not allowed (by my fiance) to book more than 3 holidays at any one time which is a fair enough as I do get a bit crazy with bookings sometimes :)

The best thing about traveling is learning how special cultures, languages and traditions are and how important it is to keep and celebrate them.

I am going to the USA in two weeks and am tempted to start packing....
